The TRecs Depot is officially open! This innovative service within TRecs Desktop Support Services provides gently used computers at a deep discount to our customer departments. These Depot laptops and desktops find renewed lives while also providing both performance and technical support at a great savings. Both Dell and Apple computers are available with a wide variety of specifications to suit many needs for departmental student workers, interns and staff.
We gather inventory by evaluating incoming surplus computers with our thorough qualification process to ensure that all devices are in excellent working order. Once a computer is approved for the Depot, it goes through standard cleaning, imaging and deployment preparations. The TRecs Depot charges a fee of $200 to prepare and provide each device, including a 90-day replacement policy. With care, these devices can potentially last up to a few years.
