Support

Technology Resources Provides:

  • Business Intelligence Services specializes in developing and supporting the creation of insightful reports and/or dashboards.  
     
  • We maintain an operational data store, linking databases and/or automating the import of diverse data sources. Through this database, we produce queries that combine different sources and generate tables tailored for analysts to enhance their reporting capabilities.  
     
  • As part of our services, we collaborate with departments to automate or standardize internal processes. This streamlining is aimed at facilitating seamless data retrieval for reporting purposes.
     
  • Clients can submit requests for support of existing Tableau and/or queries.  For example, if clients need assistance with a calculation in Tableau or resolving issues where queries are pulling incorrect data amounts. 

Customer/Client Provides:

At times, we may require access to specific data, servers, and/or databases in order to assist with process improvement and/or creating reports and dashboards. Multiple client meetings may be necessary to discuss requirements thoroughly and undergo testing phases.

Submit a request to trecs-help@austin.utexas.edu, or if it is Tableau-specific send an email to tableausupport@austin.utexas.edu.  

If you have a specific deadline, please inform us in your initial request. We will do our best to accommodate, our ability to do so depends on our current workload and resource availability. The timeframe for completion also depends on access needed and whether or not processes are already in place.

Question: Is there an email group that receives updates about Tableau and the Operational Data Store?

Answer: Yes, we communicate regularly about Tableau and the ODS (DASHP) using the tableau@utlists.utexas.edu and datageeks@utlists.utexas.edu email distribution groups.
